Dr. John Hamblin, DMD

I am new to the area and was referred to Sullivan Family Dentistry by my insurance company. I have always had great dentists and had no reason to think any different with this dentist. In fact I always had fun visiting my previous dentists he was down to earth and really nice. Never gave it a second thought. At my initial appointment it just didn’t seem that great, the doctor was very impersonal and not informative at all. Furthermore, I hear somebody screaming in agony. I was shocked, never has this been the case when visiting my dentists. I even told my family that I had a bad feeling but I thought I was being presumptuous and judgmental. Well today I realized that I was not. It was painful, rough and scary. I don’t even think he knew my name, I was just an object he had to work on not a human. By the way I had cavities just cavities. I never write reviews but I had to warn future victims there are much better dentists out there, this is just not right.

While drilling on the root canal, he went too far and drilled out the end of the root. Caused me to lose 2 days of work and the pain was horrible. While doing the procedure and was finishing up he said, "I'm not messing with it anymore, that's good enough". Had to come back the next day and he called in antibiotics and told me to take over the counter pain medicine. I will never recommend him!!!

No chair side manner at all, never calls you by name. Will answer questions, but through his assistants only, is unnecessarily rough and seems to be in a hurry all the time. Other family members have said the same. As the review title says, my 1970's dentist was much better!! I would never recommend him period!

Great Dr. and great staff. while getting filling and a cleaning I always felt comfortable. Very professional.

My dental care from your dentistry is always very professional. Everyone is always friendly and capable, answering any questions I have clearly and making sure I’m comfortable during their care. I would highly recommend their service to others.

Very thorough, professional, & honest

Best dentist ever, I've had lots of work done at Sullivan family dentistry and I am very pleased with the results.

My husband and I have seen Dr. Hamblin for several years and are very pleased with the care we receive. He is friendly, energetic, with a large staff who share his concern and have great attitudes.

A real pro as far of a dentist is concerned, but his front desk people could use some polishing as far as getting your appointment done correctly.

Gave my wife two crowns and she was in extreme pain for a week after until she went back. He re-did the work, called her a liar when she said she was in severe pain and said if the new crown didn't work she needed to see an oral surgeon, all the while admitting he dove below the gum line while cleaning out her tooth canal before putting the crowns on. Currently looking into legal options now. Stay away from this guy
