Surprise charges practice
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the services provided by Dr. Joachim I. Ajala and Plano Smile Design.I underwent a crown procedure and signed a detailed treatment plan outlining the final out-of-pocket costs. Despite this agreement, I received an unexpected bill for an X-ray several months later. Upon reviewing my Explanation of Benefits (EOB), it became apparent that the charges did not accurately reflect the services provided.Furthermore, during a routine cleaning, I was charged for an unrequested fluoride treatment. Multiple attempts to resolve these billing discrepancies with the office, including a conversation with the billing department, were unsuccessful.I am concerned about these unprofessional and surprise billing practices. I believe it is essential for other patients to be aware of these issues. I strongly recommend filing a complaint with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners to address these matters.
