Dr. Ames finds things to fix, including a tooth that my son was about to lose. Dr. Ames said that I needed a filling. A second opinion told me that I had a surface stain without any decay.

I was not happy. Dr. Ames likes to replace all your old fillings, whether you have decay around them or not. That was his first concern with me, and I have since spoken to others who experienced the same approach. In addition, I waited months for the cleaning and exam and another several weeks for follow-up appointments for fillings and understand from others that this is routine. I found the doctor's bedside manner cold. However, there were bright spots. I had to go to the dentist during the pandemic, and the precautions taken were EXTREMELY thorough. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth also did a fine job soothing my nerves.

Worst dentist ever!!!!! Always in a rush. Screwed up one filling three times. I will never go there again. hygienist used ultrasonic on me after I ask her not to.

If five stars is the maximum, then I give Dr. Ames and his staff ten stars. I have had a lot of dental work in my life from different dentists. This is the first time I have felt minimum anxiety and comfortable about going to a dentist. Highly skilled and quick. And most importantly, there is no high pressure sales gimmicks. Great experience all the way around. The staff is super friendly and very efficient.

Very friendly staff, and Dr Ames is amazing with kids! Our young child has had many cavities, and Dr Ames does an amazing job putting him at ease during the procedure. His office is the best and we always get the best care there.

My wife has had a phobia of dentists, stemming from her childhood with an abusive dentist who eventually got caught and relieved of his practice. Then last week she has a couple of fillings done, and has been in pain ever since. This morning she woke up in excruciating pain, so I drove her to Dr. Ames office. He worked her in very quickly, even though we didn't have an appointment, and corrected the problem and now her pain is almost gone. Impressive doctor and staff also!

My wife and I started seeing Jody shortly after he took over the practice belonging to Bill Russ. During the +15 years he treated us, we became more than just patients. He is truly interested in preventing pain and does and excellent job. He is extremely thorough and professional while not being a dud. He goes out of his way to accommodate personal requirements such as allergies or in my case, treatment of implants. I have them because of his suggestions and they are just about 15 years old.

Dr. Ames was very professional and made me feel comfortable even when my procedure was not. He is an outstanding dentist and even better person!
