Dr. Jocelyn Lu, DMD

I'd agree that Dr. Dan was an excellent dentist. Dr. Lu -- not so much. I recently had a routine filling, nothing complex. The dental hygienist -- or whatever she was -- assisting Dr Lu had no respect for older people and spoke to me as if I were a child ('elderspeak' -- inappropriate simplified speech that sounds like baby talk and is commonly used with older adults, especially in health care settings). When Dr Lu worked on my teeth, she and the assistant were chatting together and laughing like two teenage girls. Very unprofessional and disrespectful to the patient. I'm giving her two stars, because I think she put the filling in okay ... but I wouldn't go back again.

When Dr Dan was the dentist it was amazing. Now Dr. Lu's office regularly cancels appts with an email and then they never answer the phone. I had to drive up after 3 days of getting emails to chat with the office staff. NOT even NICE. Needless to say after being with Dr Dan for years WE have left this practice.
