Dr. Jeffrey Burns, DMD

Dr. Burns is a very talented dentist. His bedside manner makes you very comfortable. If you have an emergency he will make room in his schedule to see you. His dental hygienists are super at their jobs and very kind.

I desperately needed knee replacement surgery for at least 3 years and Dr Burns kept telling me 'the hospital wouldn't allow him to admit me' for the surgery until i hit a certain BMI (equivalent to about 100 lb weight loss). It wasn't until a Physical Therapist recommended i see a different doctor that i learned that different doctors have different criteria for deciding who is a good candidate for surgery. I got a new doctor and the surgery went great; all aspects of my recovery were way ahead of typical, and i hadn't lost any weight. Because i trust my medical professionals (lesson learned), i have lived with extreme crippling pain for far too long. I understand it is his call (and maybe even the hospital's) whether a particular patient is a good candidate for surgery. What infuriates is that he never even suggested that other doctors might be willing to do surgery despite the weight. I feel like i was robbed of years of pain-free life.

My father recommended Dr. Burns to me. I had an impacted wisdom tooth extracted by an oral surgeon and a gum line cavity was uncovered in the next molar, tough to reach. I wanted a dentist who would put my best interest first and above their preference for filling materials. Dr. Burns took me in as a new patient, and handled this really tough filling for me with excellence. He does silver or white fillings, and it depends on which is best for the patient. He had both ready just in case. Perfect!
