Dr. Jeffery Luzader, DDS

Went to him this morning to revisit a job he did for me months ago that recently turned bad ... my previous root canal has mysteriously become infected again. Upon examination, he advised me I had three options, none of which are likely to effect a cure. He could do another root canal, but the prognosis for success was not good. Two of my back teeth are exhibiting bone loss, and at least one of them, he said, would have to be extracted, at a minimum. I have to go back to see my regular dentist to get an oral surgery referral, because Luzader's office doesn't do extractions. The price tag will be in the 1000s, he says; meanwhile, I'll end up going through Thanksgiving dinner, chewing on one side of my mouth. Neither he nor I can be faulted for any of this, but it was nonetheless a miserable experience ... it was very stressful, trying to sort out which, among the complicated options, would be best; and he was not in any position to guide my decision with any kind of assurance.
