... Then, the office manager, Darcy, came out and quickly exacerbated the situation. I felt she was rude and belittling, debating the issue with me and my inability to pay today. She disappeared to the back for an extended period and then informed me that the doctor decided not to perform my tooth extraction today.I called the insurance company to understand the situation better. They explained that the code used for the evaluation is not covered and the x-ray claim was returned noting the lack of documentation. The insurance representative suggested resubmitting the claim with the correct code for the evaluation and including proper documentation for the x-ray exam.It’s astonishing that Darcy wouldn’t know these basic insurance details. I have dealt with her three times now, and each time has been regrettable. Her 'Mightier than Thou' attitude puts me off the second she starts talking. I think people like this need to be given a reality check once in a while.
