Do not use Dr. Wong
I had a re-infected root canal. Dr. Wong was recommended. First thing that happened, before anyone even looked in my mouth or at xray sent by my dentist is that they wanted $370 for a special x-ray that they said would not be covered by my insurance. Ok - I did it, paid for it. After that she was all doom and gloom about 'not being able to save the tooth' even if I had a re-treatment root canal. In follow up calls, after I had done some research, I asked about an apicoectomy. She was very condescending, claimed she didn't mention it because it would be 'too confusing' to me. Long story short, I went to a different endo, had the apicoectomy, he tried to read her x-ray, couldn't read it (they either did it wrong or wasn't compatible with their software). He didn't charge me for the new xray. Don't go to Dr. Wong.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Wong. I had alot of pain and needed a root canal. The office staff was very helpful in getting me an appointment quickly. Dr. Wong was very kind and clearly explained what she would be doing. At no point did I feel discomfort during the procedure. She is an excellent dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Wong.

Dr. Wong was professional, caring and extremely informative! She talked me through the process and made me feel at ease. She is truly an expert in her field. I have been going to Dr. Wong for years now and my entire extended family seek her out when we need a root canal.

I had substantial tooth pain and was advised that root canal was needed. When I told Irene that I had TMJ, she immediately told me I should get the tooth pulled. ( Isn't pulling a tooth a last resort?) After I insisted I wanted to save tooth she started root canal. When I returned to her to finish, she told me tooth was "fractured" and had to be pulled. I then went to 2 oral surgeons who called her and she told same that tooth was fractured. They were ready to pull the tooth, but it was pandemic and I wasn't having pain. I then went to a different endodontist in Stamford, who told me the tooth is not fractured and he finished the root canal. In addition Irene took my insurance money, over 450$ from my flex spending and an additional $800 form my charge card which she was not entitled too. I had to fight to get my insurance reinstated and the money back. I do not recommend her to anyone.
