Please do not go here. She lies constantly about what needs to be done to your mouth. She's careless and sloppy with her work and will mess your teeth up. Then she will turn around and blame you. Do NOT go here. I had to pay another dentist to fix her mistakes.

Dr.Honey will stop in the middle of a root canal to start a filling. Completed 6 root canals under 2 hours. Left my teeth sensitive and discolored. Every appt was a surprise as what was getting done as she never explained what needed to get done and why. Tried to pull a tooth that didn’t need anything done too. Hasn’t addressed the main reason I went to her in the first place and every appointment something else needs to get done. It’s been two months of antibiotics and constantly putting the main issue on the back burner claiming the root canals need to be done before a dead tooth gets pulled. Literally wedged a tooth out of my mouth even after explaining I was experiencing pain. Did root canals at the same time as the extraction even after I said I could feel her filing away. Still haven’t gotten my temps or permanent crowns in over two months because more root canals need to be done. At this point I don’t have any teeth left that need something done.

My son was told he needed two crowns on his two lateral incisors. He went to his appointment as they had scheduled, and when they took his temporary crowns off, they said that the teeth were broken. The temporary crown was intact and not broken. Having consulted with another dentist a broken tooth inside an intact temp crown is because of the incompetency of the dentist removing the crown. The person I spoke with at first blamed my son. I reminded her we had made every appt, and that he followed their instructions. I was told to get him a flipper we would need to pay at least $500 upfront before they would even help him. I plan to file a written complaint with New York State OPD against Dr. Honey Ohja. I plan to leave this review every place I can so that I may save someone's smile from this dentist. At best she's not competent, at worst she did this to milk insurance and extort cash upfront from a desperate mom.
