First, the staff is excellent. You will be asked questions to gauge your spending power. Cost of treatment was mentioned all the time. The doctor wanted to remove all my teeth and replace with dentures. I went to get a second opinion and was told only 4 upper and 4 lower needed extracted. Finally a doctor who was concerned about my dental health. I had option of bridge or implants and I went with implants. I spent more than what Dr. Bye wanted but I'm happy with my smile. Had I gotten the dentures would have been miserable and would have probably spent even more money and gone through the agony of more procedures. He definitely needs to work on his bedside manners. I told him I suffer from depression and he repeatedly said my teeth were ugly and hopeless. He boasts about the exclusive equipment he has, but other dentists have the same equipment and don't even mention it. Lastly, again the staff is excellent, all very courteous and professional. Doctor can learn from them.

Had some gum disease and visited with Dr. Bye on 2 occasions. First time he charged $1k for a CG x-ray on the principle of 'he was one of the only two people who had the tech in the country' turned out to be a lie and we paid a third of the price at our current Periodontist. He was very rude during each consultation and each time we asked a question he just frowned and shook his head with 'I dont understand why you would ask that, its a dumb question'. He tried to triple the price to just under $100k on the second visit for a 'hollywood smile'. The last straw was on lockdown we were not leaving home as my spouse is a senior, has diabetes and was a prime target for COVID. He called us at home and then told us to risk the virus to come to the office for treatment just so he could make some money. We went with Dr. Hansen at Advanced Implant and Periodontal Specialists in Winchester and has been a great experience and very professional.
