Dr. Edward Yao, DMD

This visit was for an initial routine cleaning. First, I was forced to refill out all the information by hand which I had already provided via their online portal by the front office staff, frustrating. Next a hygienist led me back and demanded we do X-ray even though I recieved a full series 6 months prior at another office and attempted to refuse! She said no service without new X-rays (there is the scam!) Dr. Yao examined my teeth for a quick minute before a different hygienist performed cleaning. Next I was forced to pay upfront $55 for the X-rays of course, now a month later I received an additional bill for $38.40 to cover the X-ray fee! What a shady scam routine this office is running! DO NOT GO HERE!

My experience with Dr. Yao was extremely poor. When I saw him initially several times prior with no problems in regards to cleanings and other extractions he was very straight forward. However when it came time for a consult for my partial because it was broken, in the conversation to get a replacement he focused on how expensive it would be if I lost it and gave the impression that if I have all of my upper teeth removed it would be more feasible/preventive option. Unbeknownst to me he never fully informed me of the repercussions and life changes that would happen to me once I went through with the procedure. My nutrition and food options have drastically changed and have been reduced. If I was fully informed by Dr.Yao about the changes that I now experience, I would have definitely made a more informed decision instead of one I've made with major regrets!
