Best case: very expensive dentist - 10x more than another nearby Worse case: actually trying to bilk you Dr. Williams is in-network for my insurance, and that's why this was so shocking and upsetting to me. This location quoted me $8,000 of dental work (my out of pocket expense AFTER insurance). It sounded very high to me and my BS-detector was going off when they said that they couldn't "prioritize" it or bump any of it into the next insurance year for more coverage. I went to get a second opinion someplace else. After reviewing everything they said I needed, he agreed with less than half of it and had much better suggestions for how to do the work. He was able to prioritize the work over 8 months so that insurance will be paying in two separate years, decreasing my out of pocket for this year to only $800. That's right - 10x cheaper than what Dr. Williams said was immediately necessary. I would have had 3 years of medical debt if I listened to her. It's vile conduct.
