Dr. Donald Ratliff, DDS

When I booked this appointment, I was a new patient and was told that they did not take my insurance, however not to worry because my insurance out-of-pocket would pay more than in network. Went to the appointment, they proceeded to do all kind of x-rays cleaning and an exam. I rarely have issues with my teeth, so it was super quick and easy. Upon leaving, I was told I needed to pay $75 for the visit. Not a problem, paid them right away. However, a month later, I get a bill where they have billed my insurance over $600 for my visit. Then I get a bill for another $200. After calling my insurance and talking to their staff, they were gonna get back with me and see what they could do. Four months later, I have someone calling harassing me about paying my bill saying they normally turn people over to collections after 30 days. I’ve never in my life had any doctors office act like this. They should have let me know how much the appointment was going to be since I waited months to get in.

I spent 3 hours in the dentist's chair. I always arrive a nervous wreck but leave thinking it was a positive experience. Because of my history of jaw dislocation and my fear of aspirating while on my back, Dr. Ratliff's gentleness and allowing me to swallow every few seconds was greatly appreciated. His staff is very courteous and accommodating.

I have always had a fear of dentists Dr. RATLIFF is a kind patient man. I have been seeing him since 2005. I have moved to Asheville but it’s worth the drive over the mountains.

Dr. Ratliff and his entire staff are so kind, thoughtful and caring, and they are helping me overcome my fear of dentists. If you've had bad experiences in the past like I have, give Dr. Ratliff a call. There honestly isn't a dentist that shows the compassion he does.

Beautiful skill combined with gentle thoughtfulness = Dr. Ratliff & his carefully selected crew. I am not an easy patient, yet Dr. Ratliff always makes me feel like a respected and valued individual. I cannot image better care.
