You do not extract from an infected area. The gum never numbed no matter how many shots she gave me. She didn’t SEE the infection even though it was obvious and my pain level was a 10. Control infection first.... then extract. Never have I left a dentist office in tears and more pain than I have ever endured. This was an emergency, I appreciate her seeing me. a day later I am still at a level 8, swollen and cheek warm to touch. Even after seeing the Infection she did not prescribe an antibiot
