I have severe panic attacks and am the biggest wimp when it comes to going to the dentist. I recently had a root canal (my first ever) with Dr. Vaughn. He cracked a joke about me falling asleep, but swear on my life, I actually did fall asleep during the procedure because I was so comfortable. ot only was pain very minimal (mostly just pressure on my tmj jaw) but I trusted his skill and didn't freak out the entire time. This is huge coming from someone like me. He also never shames me for my reluctance to come in nor does he seem to take it personal, he's just like "let's do what we need to get you out of pain" and gets to it. There's a reason I bring my whole family to their office- they're all great people and dentists.
