Dr. Daryl Kwan, DDS

I had an emergency root canal done after Christmas. Dr. Kwan identified that I had a crack, however, referred to the crack extending into a “grey area” and wanted to know if I wanted to continue with the root canal procedure. Ultimately I was in pain, with a badly infected tooth and wanted to save my tooth and let him proceed. I wound up having my tooth pulled as a result of the crack not being treatable. I paid $1,500 for this. Lesson learned. If an endodonist cannot tell you what type of crack you have, nor the extent of the crack, no matter how much you want to keep your tooth, DO NOT get the root canal. You’re playing Russian Roulette! Have the tooth pulled. I realized the decision to continue or stop was placed squarely on me. The patient having to make a decision over a tooth they cannot diagnose themselves isn’t really how it should work, after all, I’m not the dentist. Until the technology exists to determine the true extent of a cracked tooth, do not pay for a guess.

Dr. Kwan and his office staff are wonderful - very kind, helpful and professional! I was also very impressed to receive a call from Dr. Kwan himself. He called the day after my root canal to ask how I was feeling. I would definitely recommend Kenwood Endodontics!

My root canal went much better than anticipated I felt no pain and Dr. Kwan was very Professional along with his staff I highly recommend this Practice.

Dr. Kwan was really great. I've had a problem tooth for months that no one could figure out what was wrong. He diagnosed me on my first visit and then we did the root canal a week or so later. It's the first time in months that I'm not in constant pain. He was funny, yet professional and did a great job on my tooth. I am forever thankful.

The visit was, well, amazing! An over-statement? I think not. They made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Kwan and his assistant (so sorry I can't remember her name!) were delightful. I'll definitely go back if needed!

I received a root canal from Dr. Kwan and he is extremely personable and made sure I was comfortable during the entire procedure.

Dr. Kwan was very friendly and professional. He communicated well and I liked that he asked about my family. The procedure (root canal) was conducted in a professional manner and painless. I would definitely return to him if further work was needed!

I have a root canal it was completely painless for the 1st time in my life! Dr Kwan was fantastic, he really knows how to care for his patients, I drove 45 minutes just to see him.

When my dentist referred me for an evaluation re: a possible root canal, I had trouble finding an endodontist who accepts my dental insurance (United Healthcare). I went to Dr. Kwan solely because he was the only one I could find to accept my insurance. That said, I was THRILLED with my experience at his office. From checking in at the front desk, to having x-rays and my health history taken by his assistant, to my exam with him - I give them all FIVE STARS. Dr. Kwan took a 3D xray at NO CHARGE to make his final decision...which was that I did NOT need a root canal at this time. Who does that??? In this day and age, I am so appreciative of any provider who is truly looking out for the best interest of their patient (ie. customer). If/when my dentist refers me to an endodontist in the future, I will DEFINITELY return to Dr. Kwan's office. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Dr.Kwan was very easy to talk to and explained everything to my daughter who needed a root canal. His staff was also very caring and always explained everything they were doing and why. I highly recommend Dr.Kwan and his team.

I had a complicated root canal that my dentist started, but was unable to finish. I was in a lot of pain when I came in. Dr. Kwan explained what he was going to do and made sure it was a pain free experience. He called the next day to see how I was doing, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kwan and plan to see him again if I ever need another root canal.

My visit went wonderful. This being my first root canal didn’t know what to expect. I had ask my insurance for orthodontist that took my insurance. United Health Care but I was sad to come out of pocket for 1326.00 . I would have loved to pay half and make payments for other.

A good experience, as much as a root canal can be good... Dr Kwan was very gentle and asked me multiple times how I was doing, which I appreciated. He called me the next day to follow up. I highly recommend Dr Kwan and his professional team.
