I went to this doctor for the first time for a routine cleaning and x-ray with no co-pay. I was told upfront at dentist office that my insurance would cover cleaning and x-ray with no co-pay. I had also checked with my Dental insurance company as well. Doctor and Dental Hygienist performed some other type of cleaning procedure which I was not told until I went to check out. (I did not notice anything different than the regular cleaning). At checkout I was told I had a Co-pay (and it was higher than my regular co-pay) for the procedure that had been done. I told her that procedure did not need to be done. (They did not have my previous x-rays and the x-rays they took were good, no cavities, no bleeding, etc.). They would not adjust the charge at checkout. No doctor (dentist, medical, eye, etc.) should perform a procedure without first telling the patient and getting patient approval. I will not be going here again.
