Dr. Craig Balloon, DDS

Our long-term dentist retired suddenly and we were not thrilled having to find someone new. Some friends recommended Dr. Balloon and we asked to be called when they had a cancellation--we were scheduled within a couple of weeks. Needed 1 filling and spouse needed nothing. No high pressure, upselling of products and wait in the beautiful waiting room. Extremely friendly staff-definiely recommend.

Went in for a dental cleaning and was surprised as I have never had this experience at any dental office. Dental Assistant was seemingly exhausted (which is understandable) and made it very evident. If you are looking for a dentist where you feel as if you are not a burden, this is not it. Bored demeanor combined with shortest dental cleaning I have endured makes me doubt the quality of the work. On top of that, Dentist has poor manners. Does not introduce himself nor care about the name of his patients before sticking his hands in their mouths. If you have experienced true quality dental care in the past as have I, then this too would throw you off guard. Dental care should be perpetually professional and free from ultra sarcastic comments which make patients uncomfortable. Would not recommend to someone who is looking for a proper and personable experience where you can trust the work they are doing for you.

The Doc is great and knows what he is doing, but a little on the arrogant side since he is been in the business for a long time, seems he may or doesn't need to have a compassionate bedside manner, Secondly, and not explaining in detail what your procedure is and exactly what in detail is gonna happen. Seems the amount of time in the chair is more important ie $. Also If you are looking to be a patient be prepared for the attitude from the front desk, there is definitely no compassion there. I like the doc and will keep going there, Im just telling you what I expect from any doctor! I still go back because I know to ask!!

I highly recommend Dr. Balloon. My family and I have been a long time patients. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Had to change dentists and wasn't thrilled, however after several years now of visiting this office I can say I would pay out of pocket if Dr. B. wasn't in my network. Office is in a beautiful old historic building, exceptionally clean, staff is extremely friendly, helpful and careful with Covid precautions and I've been very happy with all my treatment.

Have been going to Dr. Balloon for several years now. He definitely is an odd bird! You cannot be a patient there if your feelings are easily hurt. He can be oddly rude!! He has always done a pretty good job so I kept going and just ignored his rudeness. I had a cavity filled not long ago with him. I noticed there was a black dot in the middle of my white filling. I went back to the office so he could fix whatever he did. He charged me again to fix the tooth!!! The office girl called me the other day trying to force me into getting a "deep" cleaning. I told her I was not interested in having that done. She told me that I was not allowed to come back unless I had that done. What?? The office girl is going to try and tell me what I am and am not going to have done with my own body??? So I am happy to say I am no longer a patient there. Would not suggest this office they need to grow up and change the way they treat their patients! That is the Dentist and his pushy office girl.

I had a horrible experience with several dentists and as a result avoided the dentist for a very long time . I developed a horrible abcess and called his office after my sister-in-law recommended him. They got me in the same day even though their schedule was full---with no lecture about neglecting my teeth and no pressure to schedule anything but what I needed immediately. Dr. Balloon took out my tooth the next week, in about 2 minutes with NO PAIN! I've been a regular patient ever since.

I took my 80 year old Mother to Dr. Balloon because her previous dentist could not accomodate her wheelchair. Dr. Balloon worked with her physical limitations and was extremely kind in providing her with pain-free treatment and help. His staff is also extremely kind and caring.

After 5 years of care under Ballon we were uneasy about his practices. Went to a recommended DDS and found out that several procedures were unnecessary. He suggested drilling of cavities that at this point faIL to exist. I am quite disturbed by his practices.

Had given up on dentists after visiting several different Drs who wanted $20-30,000 to treat me. Dr. Balloon gave me a more modest plan that I could afford and worked with my insurance. His receptionist has been there a very long time and is very helpful---also like the hygienists. Also he donated a toothbrush to a fundraiser I worked on and that was nice! Especially like being able to get an appointment before work. Dr. Balloon also saw me on a holiday when I had a really bad toothache!
