I believe the dentist was
1. Trying to get me to spend more money by suggesting things I did not need. I came in for a molar extraction not to get my wisdom teeth taken out by an oral surgeon affiliated with them. I've had 3 dentist in the past tell me they do t need to be removed. The same 3 dentist told me I did not have wisdom teeth on the top and he insisted on taking more x-rays.
2. I told the dentist that the area was not properly numb and he still proceeded and it cause a lot of pain
