Dr. Charles New, DDS

The first half of my root canal went swimmingly, but I must concede, I was a bit unhappy about paying $150 (out of pocket) for a full 3D x-ray of my head. Felt like I was funding the machine. Unfortunately, the second half of my procedure went sideways when 15 minutes in after some fairly intense drilling, a crack was “discovered” and Dr. New basically said “Oh, the tooth has a crack” and informed me we were done, I’d have to get the tooth removed and he left the room. His dental assistant said he’d be back to explain, but I never saw him again. She said they’d check with my dentist to see if the could pull the tooth. Before they could confirm that, I’d already called my dentist and set up the appointment. So between my deductible and the $150 3D x-ray, I’m out about $400, plus $280 for the extraction. Yeah, could have gone better.

I had been in pain for five days and my dentist had me on an anabiotic and said I needed a root canal. I have never been to Dr. New ,but called his office on a Tuesday late afternoon when they were closed. A gentleman answered the phone for the answering service and contacted Dr. New and he called me and said they would call me in the morning and if I haven’t heard from them by 9 o’clock call them. I was hurting so bad, I almost went to the emergency room that night. I was at his front door at 8 AM when they unlocked it and they saw me straight away. Hey did x-rays on the spot and he told me,I can do it right now and did. I have never had a root canal nor do I wanna have another one, but I am very thankful that he saw me on the spot and took care of me! Only advice, if you go there, bring him some golf balls! :)

Was able to get in to see him fast through another patient cancellation. Loved the friendly staff.

I chose Dr New as a result of the positive review results. So very glad I did. By living in a rural area, I had to travel two hours for appointment with Dr. New, but would do it again if needed. He and his staff were very accommodating, professional, courteous and friendly. Because my root canal was somewhat difficult, Dr. New took his time and reassured me throughout the process. I had previously stated to them that I was a scardy cat. Please do yourself a favor and choose Dr. New and his staff for your root canal. He and his staff get 5 stars.

I hate dentist in general. They scare me... So I wasn't happy to hear I needed a rootcanal. Dr New and his staff helped me through it. They had laughing gas which helped ALOT. I'm very pleased with there patience and spending extra time explaining things to me. Hopefully I won't ever need another rootcanal but if I do I would definitely go back here.

Dr. New and he staff were very kind to me and I am very nervous when going to a different Dr. There was no pain at all and I had a root canal. I would recommend Dr New to anyone. Dr New and his staff couldn't have been better.

Awesome ! My dentist sent me here for root canal, saw him years ago. But after he did xray . Said needed tooth pulled . his staff made me appointment with oral surgeon , gave me xray to take . And no charge !! Super nice and caring staff , very helpful .

Terrible experience...very unprofessional. I was referred by another dentist. I just had x-rays at the other dentist within the hour and DR. New made me retake x-rays in his office. Then he was rude and asked "WHY" I was there even though I had just went through all my symptoms. He had 5 referrals waiting in his office at 4:30. There was no way he would be able to give each one the needed amount of time. I finally found a wonderful dentist that found infected root canal material in the bone. This dentist caused me to loose precious time in finding the problem. His x-rays were apparently inferior. Both the previous and x-rays made after this appointment showed something going on. He also acted like I was making the whole thing up. I was so angry, I called my dentist and complained, then never went back to either office. The dentist I had finally hired someone full time instead of referring them there.

He left a piece of material in a canal causing an infection & I'm in process of having that root canal retreated by another endodontist. Enough said.

Dr. New and his staff were awesome! His receptionist was able to schedule an appointment that fit my busy schedule. She was so nice and friendly. Dr. New made me feel completely at ease and made sure I did not have any pain during the procedure. He explained the procedure to me in a way I could understand. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a root canal!

Dr. New performed a root canal for me. He and his staff were very friendly and professional and provided excellent care and instructions following the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. New for your endodontic needs!

Dr. New and his assistant performed my first, and so far, only root canal. They were very professional and made me feel very comfortable. They were telling jokes and before long I wasn't even thinking about the root canal. If I ever need another root canal, I am headed to Dr. New's office! I love his office and staff!

I was very pleased with my root canal today.. Dr New worked me in his busy schedule. The staff and assistants were very cordial and explained everything to me. Dr New did a good job, as he usually does.

I had a root canal with Dr. New; I had never had one before and was really dreading it, but the staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and informative, and before I knew it the procedure was over with only minimal pain.

Returning patient due to pain after root canal. This doctor came in and took a quick 2 seconds look at the xray and said without a doubt his root canal job was perfect. Was extremely rude and condescending about it too and left just as quick. Don't waste your money here.

I guess if you are comfortable with a drill being tapped multiple times against your top teeth and being told that your mouth does not open wide enough for him to drill where he needs to go, then you might be comfortable with his root canal.

My first root canal was with Dr. New and it was a breeze. He and his staff are efficient, courteous, and kind. I highly recommend them. Thank you, Dr. New!!
