Dr. Carolyn Van Buskirk, DDS

I went to Dr Van Buskirk for a cleaning, exam, and crown re-cement (originally done by a different dentist). Dr. VanBuskirk impresses me as thorough, very knowledgeable and experienced (skillful), and she explains X-rays and certain details clearly. Also her staff are both courteous and highly professional. I highly recommend.

Dr. Van Buskirk is very thorough (appointment was for a routine exam and cleaning) and professional. She explained various details, made specific suggestions, even demonstrated how to floss a problem tooth that I have (with a crown that has fallen off before). She has always answered questions completely and in a respectful way, and seems to me to be extremely knowledgeable and current on research (e.g, research about plaque and Covid 19). She also hasn’t tried to scare me and up-sell further work (which other dentists have done) - she simply advised why certain hygiene and procedures are important, but hasn’t pushed me to extensive additional dental services.

I have been seeing Dr. Van Buskirk for 12 years and she is an amazing dentist. I have referred friends and family.

She has been my Dentist for years and has always helped me find specialists when needed. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Van Buskirk is a very knowledgable dentist and intelligent. She is up to date on both traditional and natural alternative products. If an issue is new to her or a problem arises with treatment, she figures it and solves it and researches. Sometimes long wait times (other times not) but if someone has an emergency, understandable so she doesn't rush the work. Bonus view of Central Park is a perk!

Dr. Vanbuskirk was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel like a respected patient and student at the same time. She’s into teaching patients as well as providing care as if you were one of her family members. I highly recommend her to anyone who has had bad experiences with dentists.
