Dr. Carlos Cury Abreu, DMD

I miss Dr. Abreu! He was my dentist for several years before I got married and moved. I have a family history of bad teeth and some experiences with dentists that made me feel awful. Dr. Abreu helped me feel like I was not a dental failure. He did several fillings for me and I didn't have problems with any of them. He and his wife both received their education in Brazil and then, thanks to American accreditation standards, had to go through schooling and testing again here when they came to the States. I could tell that he genuinely cared about me & my teeth. I liked that he had a small office and that he and his wife do the cleaning themselves. Receptionists come and go over the years--I would recommend going here despite what others have said about the receptionists. Also, I worked in Foggy Bottom and Dupont, so this was a convenient location. For those that complained about prices, try to see how much these guys have to pay for their lease in that area. I'm sure it isn't cheap!
