Dr. Brittany Calderon, DDS

I wouldn’t trust Dr. Brittany Calderon at Smile Dentistry with my worst enemy’s teeth. I originally went in for a routine cleaning. X-rays were taken, and I was told everything looked fine, except that I supposedly needed two crowns. Trusting the so-called expertise of Dr. Calderon, I agreed to the procedure—one crown at a time. That was the worst decision I could have made.I sought a second opinion. And that’s when I found out the horrifying truth: I NEVER EVEN NEEDED THE CROWN IN THE FIRST PLACE. The new dentist reviewed my X-rays, took their own, and confirmed that the procedure was unnecessary. They also warned me not to proceed with the second crown Dr. Calderon claimed I needed. But it gets worse—the crown she placed was so poorly done that it directly caused my need for a root canal. Even the assistant at the new office made a comment about the low quality of her work before the doctor even looked at it.

DO NOT USE THIS DENTAL OFFICE. This dental office tried to 'upsell' me into purchasing over $5,000 worth of additioanl services (deep cleaning, crown) that were not necessary and would not have been covered by the plan. I walked out and saw another dentist in the plan, who confirmed the procedures were not necessary and that my teeth were fine. They also billed insurance for $1,300 worth of services at that initial visit - of which I am responsible to pay over $1,000. I have since filed a complaint with the California Dental Board.
