Dr. Andrew Varga, DMD

Wouldn’t go to anyone else. He is very caring and compassionate and deals with my anxiety which has caused me to neglect caring for my teeth in the past.

I have been watching Dr Varga since he joined the practice. He, like a good wine, has developed wonderfully. His skill set is considerable (he has done several big procedures on me over the years) and appears to me be always learning.

I have had Dr. Varga for over 20 years and am so fortunate to have benefited from treatment plans that have saved my teeth. He is so talented and goes above and beyond . Love his sense of humor. The best of the best!!!!

I had a wisdom tooth extraction. The decision was made unexpectedly to extract that day to accommodate a partial dentaldevice. I dread sounds of any kind in a dental office but absolutely did not want to hear a crunching sound from an extraction of a healthy tooth. I wanted anesthesia, but trusted Dr Varga. The surgical extraction was done, and there were no expected sounds! Totally painless with a local injection to numb the area.

Great office and stuff, always great experience, great atmosphere , appointment is on time not like others where your appointment is at 9 but you get finally checked in at 9:35...

I had a bad tooth that needed extracting. I went to their office and was told they had an opening for 8 a.m. the next day, which was fine with me. The next day I went and Dr. Varga extracted the tooth. The staff was excellent in every respect...courteous, friendly, and caring. Dr. Varga, who had extracted a tooth previously for me just before I had left on vacation for the cold country, did another outstanding job in this case, as well. The doc is very friendly, personable, and clearly an expert at his job, displaying great competence at his profession, which makes a patient know he is in good hands. On top of that, the doc himself called me at 6:30 p.m. to make sure I was doing ok! Although I, like many people, hate getting dental work done, it is an absolute joy to go to this office and see Dr. Varga, and I am happy to whole-heartedly endorse both the doc and his staff!

When we moved permanently to Sarasota I knew I'd need to find a new dentist. After 30 years with my original dentist I was worried about the change. I asked neighbors and was referred to Dr. Varga. I felt comfortable right away. Everyone from the front desk, office manager, hygienist and especially Jessica (his assistant) were wonderful. I needed extensive work and required a full day office visit. I had seen a previous reviewer complain about a 'Long Appointment' and didn't know what to expect. Thank goodness I had a long visit so all the major work could be done without delay! I couldn't be happier with my decision to see Dr. Varga and would not hesitate to recommend him.

How was it? I actually like going to the dentist now! He and Jessica work well as a team and Dr. Varga makes decisions based not only on his dental knowledge but that of who you are and your needs. (I left their office to pick our car which was being repaired and happened to mention having come from the dentist to our customer service representative. He told me about his last terrible experience with a dentist and after a 5 minute conversation, I ended up leaving Dr. Varga's contact info. Say no more!)

My first visit with Dr. Andrew Varga, all went as it should have. Dr. Varga appears to have a very good grasp of his profession. Unfortunately, I have been to more than my fair share of Dental offices. So, it was refreshingly nice to walk into a new office and have such a good first impression. Will keep ya posted when the real work begins! But this was a very good first start!

So grateful for the excellent care I receive here! I trust Dr. Varga completely with my family’s dental care. He treated my daughter’s complex dental issues with expertise and gentleness. I was so impressed, that I switched over to his practice. I have not been disappointed! His assistant Heather & the entire team are unfailingly kind, competent and accommodating. :)

Dr. Varga remembered specific things from my first visit from 3 years ago and it made me feel like a friend rather than just his next appointment. Manatee county is lucky to have him and I will always recommend him to anyone needing dental care. He makes sure you are comfortable throughout the process and he gets it done right the first time. Dr. Varga provides excellent care with a delicate touch. He is personable with a sense of humor and great chairside manor. His touch is precise, gentle and sensitive. He has an up to date office with high tech care. I have full confidence in his work and diagnostics. His assistant Heather was also efficient and gentle and worked exceptionally well with Dr. Varga. He is now my primary dentist even though I live out of state.

He did not oversell me services and was very compassionate and skillful. Good sense of humor without being ridiculous.

I had had a concern & Kathy, who is very professional, accommodated me getting an appt quickly. I have complete trust in Dr. Varga’s decisions & his work. He is smart, quick to listen & makes wise choices airing on the side of being conservative. Bottom line he is trustworthy.

These guys are the best. Worth the visit. Everybody love Karen. And we like Dr Varga too!

I found Dr. Varga’s office to be very efficient and professional. Wait time was very short, less than 5 minutes. Dr. Varga and his assistant Jessica performed a very thorough and comprehensive dental exam and then made recommendations for my dental care. This was my first visit since it’s my first winter in our Florida home and I was very impressed with the level of care I received. This will definitely be my dental team during my stays in my southern home.

If you need a lot of dental work Dr. Varga may give you one or two regular appointments, but chances are he'll start mentioning longer dental appointments as an option, may even use friendliness to persuade. Dr. Varga's longer dental appointments are not two hours long, either, but five hours long and sometimes longer. My head was spinning after the first one. After two my head and neck were in pain. After three my headache and neck pain wouldn't go away. So I called the office, explained I was in pain and asked that my upcoming appointment, another long one, be made into two shorter appointments, instead. And guess what? The staff members told me they couldn't do it, they gave me reasons why and suggested that I keep the upcoming long appointment. They disregarded the pain I was in, didn't even suggest what I could take for the pain. I contacted the office again shortly after and cancelled ALL my appointments. I never went back.
