Terrible bedside manner
Without going into too much detail, she stated she worked well with young kids. That was not the case. She has terrible bedside manners and spoke in a condescending, discouraging way to my young son. She didn’t explain to myself or him what she was doing, but just started working on him. She told me I should leave the room because young kids do better without their parents. That’s odd to me and definitely not something I agreed to do. When he was having a hard time she glared at me as if it was my presence that caused all of the issues when it was really her negative demeanor and lack of communication. My husband attended his first appointment and I brought my son to his second appointment. She walked in the room and said “who are you?” and never introduced herself. I have nothing positive to say about the experience and would highly discourage anyone from going to her office with children. Maybe she’s better with adults. I never once saw her smile or seem like she enjoyed her work.

Terrible BedSide Manner
I went to Dr. Allen a few times. In the past, I had minimal dental issues, but at this point I had started having issues with the past othedontic work I'd gotten in rural NE in the 2000's. She was unbelievably curt, did not hesitate to create a long list of the things wrong with my teeth, and pressured me to do Invisalign. When I asked about the price, other options, and what would be best given my age, she promptly dismissed me and said it was my choice without answering any questions. The next time I went in, she was equally bad. When I was asked to schedule my next appointment, I hesitated. I informed the employee that the hygienist was truly wonderful, but that the dentist was... She filled in the last part of the sentence for me with, "mean?". She said that was okay and I could just call if I wanted to reschedule. I never did. I think Dr. Allen recommended unnecessary dental work and was angry as soon as I questioned her.

Excellent dentist and staff. Always explain everything, including options I have for dental treatment. I feel very educated about my options, but not pressured into doing additional dental work. I also bring my children here!

The front desk person could be better and friendlier-as well as more relaxed and not so rude. The dentist could have a better rapport with patients and spend more conversing about dental care and procedures. They recommend and bill for services that other dentists do not usually recommend. High cost for procedures. The care itself is done very well. Latest technology in use. The hygenists are very good. The office is very nice. Lots of nice looking blonde women working there. The wait is usually not very long. Definitely pros and cons with this office.

Dr. Allen is great. She is very thorough and professional in what she does. Brandy, the hygienist, is fantastic. She takes time to do the job completely and she is just a very, very nice person. The office is stylish and includes the latest technology, and the staff takes pride in what they do. The hygienists have always been very helpful, and they care about your treatment and comfort. What can I say-lots of lovely women work there too!. Very good dental office.

I was extremely disappointed in the level of care I received. The lack of communication between the dentist and the patient in my situation was not only disturbing, but also very expensive. I went in to the office thinking the root canal I had for the first part was done. It was charged to me that way, and sent off to my insurance that way. There was zero communication. I believed all I needed to have done was the 2nd part (the crown).

Hygienists watched TV during my cleaning. I was lied to about insurance coverage and had to battle to have a gum scraping and follow up appointments paid by insurance. This dentist will fill anything that looks even remotely like a cavity. She is not at all conservative. You are being over diagnosed so that she can pay for her nice office. Notice that the reward she displays in the lobby is for office design, not actual dental accomplishments.
