I would recommend him to people for sure. He helped me with my dentist fear handing me a ball to squeeze during procedure.

I am so happy I find this dentist two years ago when I moved to San Diego. Dr Alek Zand is really nice, I am scared of dentist since my childhood but he is different.

He was very quick (in a bad way) and seemed to be searching for excuses to perform more work on my teeth. He was excited to see potential problems and quick to suggest follow-on appointments. It felt much less sanitary than I'm used to. He only looked for problems he could solve. I'm used to dentists checking the tongue, lymph nodes, etc. Alek did none of these. He looked for reasons for me to come back for follow on appointments only. Even cleaning was mediocre.
